Celestial Intervention
----------------------

Ok Space Monkeys!

Location: Asteroid 511 Davida - The Asteroid Belt

Info: Its estimated that there are almost 200 asteroids larger than 100km in the Asteroid belt. And it seems the Soviets have discovered a wealth of ore and gas reserves on many of the asteroids in our system. Their constant need for resources can mean but one thing, - more conflict.
The Soviets have beaten us to the stars and have established a base on one of the known asteroids. Commander we need to be out there as a position among the stars is of stratigic significance.
Space is an unknown theatre of war, not only do our troops require oxygen, but conventional weapons struggle in the rarified atmosphere.
It is for this reason, we have come up with a number of new technologies to fight our camgain among the stars.
First and foremost is the Robot Soldier, we can't risk our GIs. These soldiers are equipped with high focus lasers, that tear through the enemy. Unfortunatley the Soviets have them as well, although a cruder model, theirs are cheaper to manufacture.
Weve also trained our Space Monkeys to carry out a simple task. These Chimps will serve as our fronline Engineers, each chimp has been given a tech device, and trained to enter a structure and attach the device to any surface. The tech device is then able to relay information back to our hackers and in effect assume control of the structure. Its a lifesaver and has saved the allies training Engineers for space.
Weve also come up with a diverse use for the Weather Controller.
Your instructions are to make landfall on the asteroid, establish a base and then eliminate the Soviet forces from its surface. Beware the Soviets have some new technologies themselves.
Your spaceforce is on it's way, Good Luck Commander!

Objective 1:Destroy the Soviet Bases on the Asteroid.

Objective 2:Capture the Secret Tech Lab.

Game Modes:
----------
Easy: Reduced Patrols, added Bonus Crates, Reduced Ai Attacks, Hint Texts.
Medium: Few More Soviet Defences and Patrols, Units and Attacks.
Hard: More Patrols, More Defences, More Attacks,A Nuke, Harder Ai.

Best Experience, Play Hard - Play defensive, and ajust your tactics for this level.

Ok so there u have it,
A RA2md.CFS file has been added. This will overwrite any other RA2mdCSF.file which you may of installed in your
RA2 Folder from previous downloaded missions. The file contains text which been altered in order to fit
with the maps theme!

Explanation: The all01umd.map file when placed in your RA2 folder preceeds the standard Yuri's Revenge Soviet game disc missions.
This means that the first mission played when the game is launched will be this mission. To restore your games
original first mission simply remove the sov01umd.map file from your RA2 folder.
The RA2md.csf file contains the text for this mission, it also preceeds your game disc csf file. As above once you have
finished playing this mission remove the RA2mdcsf.file. This also causes your game to revert to reading from the mission
disc as opposed to reading data from the RA2 folder.

Robot Soldier - Equipped with high a powered laser, cheap to build and expendable, these are the foot soldiers of our conquest in space.

Soviet Robot Soldier - Cheap to build copies of the Allied Robot Soldier, armed with a radiation beam.

Astronaut - The allies answer to the Cosmonaut.

Monkey Wrench - Trained Monkeys capable of deploying a device that over-runs and assumes control of any enemy structure, these are our Engineers in Space. Available to both Soviets and Allies.

Chrono Prison Tank - Tank version of our Chrono Technology, capable of erasing buildings, armour and infantry from time. WarFactory/Tech Centre

Resonance Tank - Fires a wide sonic beam capable of destroying anything within range, lightly armoured, useful for destroying structures on cliffs from below).WarFactory/Tech Centre/Repair Depot

Apollo Bomber - Lightly armourered carpet bombing craft, useful for clearing a path preceeding our heavier armour. Inaccurate not ideal for striking smaller buildings or targets. American AirBase

The Lynx Mech - Soviet designed, fast and cheap to build, these units are equipped with air/ground missiles, much like the allied IFV but more powerful.Soviet WarFactory

Soviet Robot Tank - Stolen allied tech combined with Tesla Technology has given birth to these lethal tanks, much like the allied version they rely on a power source. A nearby Battle-lab, however unlike the allied version, these fire tesla bolts and explode when destroyed. Don't allow them to gain full ranking, they become virtually unstopable. There only flaw is once powered down they are unlikely to reactivate.Soviet WarFactory/BattleLab + Allies require Robot Command Centre.

Defender Drones - Slow moving defence drones equipped with machine guns for strafing ground and air targets, lightly armoured. Ideal for guarding Kirov's on their route to targets.Soviet WarFactory/Radar

The Mauler Tank - Beware, burrowing tanks that can appear anywhere and cause chaos within your base. Soviet WarFactory/IndustrialPlant

Hammer and Sickle Tank - a Seismic tank that pounds the ground, rendering all within range to rubble.Soviet WarFactory/BattleLab

Flamer Tank - Burns anything in its path. Secret Unit

Chrono-Tank - Chrono in and Chrono out again! With this unique Tank from the Command and Conquer universe. Equipped with missiles, its ideal for that ambush attack. Don't Chrono your Tank into Space -- you will loose it to the Void! Try and move it away from your Warfactory as it appears otherwise it will block the exit ramp. Great in large numbers. WarFactory/TechLab

Stealth Tank - Ideal for infilration and ambush. Lightly armoured, with a quick deploy into hibernation mode. Hibernation mode shuts everything down the tank becomes inert, during which it will cease to move and cease to attack. The advantage of such a mode, means large numbers can be moved into an enemy base and go into hibernation until required. Attacking enemy units will loose their target and terrordones will self destruct. WarFactory/GapGenerator/TechLab

The Hover Tank,- lightly armoured and fast, ideal for scouting, and cheap to build. Armed with the universal Pill Box Vulcan Cannon, in effect making it a mobile Pill Box.WarFactory

Meteor Controller - The Allies have shifted their Weather control technology into space, and now have the ability to call in a Meteor Shower.

Ion Cannon - Beware of a bolt from the blue. The Ion Cannon can strike with a column of pure energy eradicating anything beneath.

Paradrops - Enabled via Air Force Command, the paradrop is one of Robot Soldiers, they drop without parachutes and land at a slightly faster rate, making them less vunrable and giving them a faster response.

Ok so there u have it,
All the files with the exception of the TX expansion pack have been supplied in this Mod. Now some of these Ive used before, some 17 years back, so Im hoping permissions have been granted again. I have made an effort to re-contact these old MODers, however many years have passed so they have moved on.

Files in the Expand & Echache mixes.

Credits: Its never one mans work putting this together, so credit goes to everyone who made this possible.
Here we go.....
Blade,MooMan and D.J.Breit ----(the original TX expansion project, Pallet conversions, tunnels and the tile corrections in the TX.)
OmegaBolt ----(For the TXL Lunar Theatre additions for making and adding 'space', to the tilesets which adds to the interest of this theatre.)
McPwny ----(Constant interest and source of virtually all my recent projects, never seems to run out of patience when I bug him each day with questions, Ai use,Pool teams, Warheads, Sequencing, shp's Cameos tuition and his Lynx Mech which features in this mission.)
Animal-Man ---- for his SpaceChimp shp that serves as Engineer for both Soviet and Allies in this mission.
Quiet ---- For his Robot Soldiers that replace Gi's in this mission. McPwny recloured the Soviet Version and identified the parachute sequence that was wrong.
GalaxyKid11 ---- Protonaught Cameo used with the Space Chimp.
Major Gilbear ---- Chrono Tank (Paradox Device VXL pack).
Q45 ---- For the tunnel drawing toolwhich saved me time in working these out on graph paper..lol
Banshee ---- For his Shp builder, which I used to make cameos and the loadscreen.
CatTanker ---- For help on Discord on figuring out where the Dominator lighting controls were.
Deathreapez and TAK02 for their help in my struggles to figure things out.
Deezire ---- For original help with editing the ini and this Mod Mission also features the "Hammer and Sickle", unit from the very popular Deezire Mod, coded by Deezire & Cameo. Permission was sought for the use of this unit. Blade who I understand had a hand in this units development confimed that so long as it was properly credited things would be cool if I wanted to feature this unit.
spider-man_2099 ----for the terrific Soviet Robot tank Voxel, originally known as the Ripper,by Napalm - (Im thinking you changed your name), this last saw action around 18 years ago in Moon-Madness. Ive altered its rules for this mission. He also supplied the Cameo for this unit.
This Mod Mission also features the return of the unique "Defender", unit from the very popular EagleRed Mod, one of my favorites and its highly recommended.
Eagle ---- very generously consented to let me use this unit,in Moon-Madness, and although I hope you don't mind that once gain your unit graces the Lunar theatre as I felt was paramount to the defence of the Soviet moonbase.
APOC for his Cameo pack, I modified the Chrono-Prison tank Cameo for this and also used another for the Resonace Tank.
Godwin ---- for his Chrono-Prison Tank.
Moder.U ---- Stealth Tank Voxels.
MadHQs Graveyard ---- for his Disruptor Tank, Hover Tank, and Apollo Aircraft.
AgrCmdr ---- Old friend for his recoloured TS animations, used in the Ion Cannon and Meteors.
Psycho ---- The Ion Cannon Cameo.Meteor Shower Cameo, Recoloured Meteors and trails.
Tony ---- The Manta Bomber used in place of the Cargo Plane.
spider-man_2099 & Major_Gilbear ---- both designed and supplied the Maulertank this was started by spidey and completed by Major, to whom I am very greatful for the voxel.
spider-man_2099 also let me use his flametank.
Mig Eater - Crate.tem - The Cake is a Lie.(Last thing to be added, the icing on the cake.)
Master Haosis - His Stealth Tank Coding, thankyou again.
Myself - Cameos for the Robot Soldiers, Astronaut, Chrono Prison Tank,Chrono Tank, Hover Tank,Meteor Control,Blank animation for masking out weather clouds, Loadscreen. Map/Scripting/Triggers/Variables/Readme/planning/assembly.
Cannis,Deezire,Mooman,RVmECH. ---- Help from the very begining.
Sypher, for all his help, suggestions and explanations with the TX,and for making me the banner jpeg which graces the launcher screen.
RVMech, for the script actions used in the mapfile for copywrite and authorship purposes.
Olaf Van der Spek for the XCC utilities and the MOD launcher with which this mission is to be launched.
Finally thanks to Matze, for the FA2 utility, and the RA2 CSF Editor, without such tools none of this would of been possible.
Is that everyone? Double check before release its important.

Various slight modifications have been added, all to keep in with this missions theme. The modifications will not alter your
original RA2 game. As they are contained in the Expand94md.mix,Ecache94md.mix files, simply deleating these and the csfmd file will restore your game.

Lion,(for originally hosting and supporting my work, a big thankyou for creating my own little section on his much loved and popular
site "RADEN" ----- Greatly missed website, think its archived somewhere.
DeeZire,(for those unsupported script actions in this mission and help with the finer modifications.ArgCmdr,(who also writes mission
maps, and took the time to explain how DeeZires script-actions,should be written.
Wildefire for all the help shes given me in the past.
The Map Guild,(thanks to everyone in the forums for suggestions and help, this site has now closed unfortunatly).
Cannis,Responsible for so much, in this mission note the ground shaking effects, well its his genius which gave birth to that idea, its also his "true", random triggers which enable the lightning strikes,on various maps I made making them truely unpredictable. I also want to mention the great webpage he made for my missions
over at http://www.cannis.net/.
Dark Desolator,(for invaluable help in the forums and for explaining to my why neon green shows up as black text---doh!), I still value that
information even now..lol.
Roadxkill,(probably long gone by now).
RVMECH for his work in the RA2 community inspiring me with his own missions also for his latest work in creating downloadable script actions
which I used to incorporate my name and credits into the mapfile itself, thanks for that its a great bonus.
,for his support in getting my work posted to.
Cr@zyIvan & Miridor, can't leave them out.
ArgComdr, for driving me on when I sometimes lose interest.
Captdoom6,(for supplying the answers to the questions that I never asked).
Appokares,Silverfox,Subzero46,Wardead,Almyghty,Hinheir,CBWhiz,Benianka,Aircraftkiller2001,
and anyone else that I may of overlooked, thanks guys,a big thankyou also to the play
testers whos time was spent going over the mission, thanks for your time and patience guys.
Dark Sorpion, playtested this for me and informed me of a number of details which led to an improvement of the game, he also found the bugs..lol.
Many of the above have now gone, it being almost 20yrs, but some names you may well recognise, either way their contributions live on in every mission, thanks guys.

Finally thanks to Matze, for the FA2 utility, and the RA2 CSF Editor.
Also thanks to Olaf Van der Spek for the XCC utilities which I used to extract the md.csf file.
